1/40 Stabling and coach houses, - 40 metres north of Witnesham Hall.
GV II
Central coach-house with stable and tack room to right, and 2nd coach-house to left; C18 core, much remodelled in c.1840 in the Gothick style. Gable-front central coach-house, slightly set-forward, with hayloft above. Red brick, with central Flemish gable with ball finials; the flank walling has crenellated parapets with terracotta copings and corner pilasters with ball finials. On either side is a short set-back lower wall. Slate roofs. Wooden hood-moulded mullioned windows. Central upper window with pediment and flanking pilasters of brick; the design imitates the C17 entrance porch of Witnesham Hall. Stable doors with wooden hood-moulds, framed and boarded with tall arch-headed panels formed of applied moulded battening. Included for group value.
