TM 36 NE YOXFORD HIGH STREET (west side) 10/158 Hope House 25.10.51 (Previously listed under The Street) GV II House. Probably C16 to rear, early C18 front range. Timber framed core to rear, the front range of red brick with colourwashed facade and plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 5 window range, sashes with glazing bars in flush frames, no arches; moulded brick plinth, plaster cove cornice, 3 flat-roofed dormers, gable end stacks. Central doorway with 6-panel door, the upper 4 panels glazed; portico on fluted Roman Doric columns, Tuscan pilasters, entablature. Dutch gable ends each with 3 brick bands. Listing NGR: TM3927269243
