Description

TM 37 SE SIBTON SIBTON GREEN 2/107 High House Farmhouse - II Farmhouse. C16 core, the right hand (parlour) cell added in early C17 when the old house was raised about 0.3m; rear wing probably C19. Timber framed and plastered, red brick casing up to eaves level on the left hand gable end; pantiled roof. A small section of the front is jettied, with exposed framing to the ground floor: this would appear to be a remnant of an earlier range. 3 cell plan. 3 windows, mid C20 casements; lobby entrance with gabled porch and 4-panel door; internal stack. The rear wing has the wrought iron letters "A" & "S" on the gable end. Modernised interior with exposed timbering. Moated site. Listing NGR: TM3680871359
