LAYHAM OVERBURY HALL ROAD 1. 5377 Overbury Hall TM 04 SW 42/698 23.1.58. II 2. A large C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered building much modernised and partly rebuilt. Roof tiled. Two storeys and attics. The upper storey is jettied on the south end, on exposed joists. 3:3:4 window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The centre part, of 3 window range, breaks forward on the front as a half octagonal bay. Two chimney stacks have 4 grouped octagonal shafts on a square base (rebuilt at the top). There are some original windows. The interior has a dining room with an unusual ceiling of close set moulded beams. Listing NGR: TM0220540318
