1/39 Walling, gatepiers and - gates, attached to north corner of Witnesham Hall
GV II
Walling, gatepiers and pair of gates; C18, raised and remodelled c.1842. An arm extends about 10 metres to north-west from the rear of Witnesham Hall and then returns north-eastwards for 40 metres to screen the stable range beyond. Red brick with moulded terracotta copings. The wall is pierced by a carriage gateway with heavy square piers and pair of ornamental wrought iron gates. At the north-east end is a further square pier. The arm of wall linking with the Hall was raised c.1842 and given blind hood-moulded windows and embattled copings.
