Description

TM 37 SE WALPOLE HALESWORTH ROAD 7/124 Walpole Old Hall (previously listed as 25.10.51 Oldhall Farmhouse) - II Farmhouse, at one time divided into cottages. Late C16/early C17 with mid C20 additions. L shape plan, the rear wing being a later addition. Timber framed, roughcast render, plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attics (the attic windows are now blocked). Scattered fenestration, C19 and C20 casements. To the front are 2 mid C20 doors with rectangular fanlights above. The main feature of the house is the 3 fine external red brick stacks, 2 against the main range and one against the rear wing: each has 2 detached octagonal flues with moulded brick bases, the caps now missing.
