SHADINGFIELD LONDON ROAD TM 48 SW 3/35 Service range immediately south west of Hill Farmhouse GV II
Service range to Hill Farmhouse, standing at right angles to the house. Originally C17, largely rebuilt in C18 with C20 alterations. Probably originally timber framed, now red brick; roof of glazed black pantiles. Formerly 2 storeys and attic, the intermediate floors now removed and the interior cement-rendered. Window and door openings mostly altered: one C18 first floor window with chamfered reveals. Parapet gable ends with tumbled brickwork; the front gable end has 2 blocked openings at attic level and originally had an integral stack. C17 roof of 3 bays with one row of butt purlins and arched wind-bracing.
