- II Farmhouse. Early C16 and early C19; L-shaped plan. 1½-storey, timber-framed rear range, encased in C19 red brick; 2-storey red brick front range; black glazed pantiles. The brick of the front range is laid in Flemish Bond; plain gables and 2 end chimney stacks. Timber dentil cornice. 3 window range: 3- light mullion-and-transome style casements with segmental arched heads to frames and surrounds; on the ground floor a 2-light window in the same style replaces the central entrance door. The rear range has an internal chimney- stack with a plain shaft of Tudor red brick, corbelled at the head; 2 gabled and weatherboarded dormers with 2-light casement windows; the remainder 3- light Edwardian casement windows in mullion-and-transome style; half-glazed door under a C20 open gabled porch. 3-cell plan, with timbers exposed inside. An old panelled screen was removed and destroyed during recent restoration. The end wall of the frame has been cut away at its junction with the C19 front. Both the side walls have been raised; on the south the roof is now higher than on the north. Roof-structure concealed. The house appears to have been storied from the outset.
