Description

BLYFORD SOUTHWOLD ROAD TM 47 NW 6/7 Little Grange - II Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed; mid C20 plasterwork with pargetted panels at ground floor level; pantiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3 cell form. 3 windows, 3-light large-paned casements, probably C18; in addition there is an original 3-light mullioned window at first floor level above the doorway. Lobby entrance with half-glazed door and mid C20 doorcase with bracketed hood. Heavy internal stack. The interior has been considerably altered, and only the main components of the frame are visible. The parlour has an ovolo-moulded floorbeam with barred stop-chamfers and the hall has exposed unchamfered joists. Mercer, English Vernacular Houses, pp.63 & 201. Listing NGR: TM4116077358
