The monument includes a bowl barrow situated on former heathland in Tunstall Forest, lying 950m north west of Heath Cottages. The barrow is visible as an earthen mound surrounded by a ditch. The mound, which is circular in plan, stands to a height of up to 1m and covers an area approximately 14m in diameter.
