Description

COCKFIELD CROSS GREEN 1 5377 (north-east side) Barn to the north-west of Cross Green Farmhouse TL 8955 47/267 II GV 2. A timber-framed and weather-boarded barn of 6 bays. Roofed with corrugated iron. The wall plate has an edge-halved scarf joint which could be dated to the C15 or early C16 (Ref C A Newett "Development of Carpentry 1200-1700"). Listing NGR: TL8960055723
