GOSBECK THE STREET TM 15 NE 4/75 No 43 (Hall Cottage) - II House, C16 with probably mediaeval core. 2-cell plan with cross-passage entry. 1 storey and attics. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof, half-hipped at the left-hand end with one eyebrow casement dormer. Axial C16/C17 chimney of red brick. C19 casements. Boarded C19 entrance door. Very little framing exposed at date of survey: a section of exposed smoke- encrusted wall-plate; a central open truss has been entirely removed, and other evidence suggesting an open hall house which has been altered.
