GV II
Former farmhouse, mid C16. 3-cell cross-entry plan. 2 storeys. Timber-
framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with a gable chimney to left; the shaft
is octagonal, of C19 red brick. The rear chimney of gault and red brick is
also polygonal and rebuilt in C19. Mid C20 small-pane casements. Mid C20
brick porch with pantiled roof and 6-panelled door. Typical unmoulded C16
framing exposed internally: large unchamfered floor joists and tension-braced

rural mid Suffolk, with a large cambered lintel. A rear wing originally one
storey high, perhaps added C17/C18.
