Description

HAUGHLEY FISHPONDS WAY TM 06 SW 4/79 The Firs 9/12/55 -- II House, late C17 or early C18, with alterations of C19 and mid C20. Red brick with a band at 1st floor level; the left-hand section plastered and the whole facade painted in mid C20. Hipped plaintiled roof with large modillions in groups of three beneath the eaves. Internal chimneys of red brick. 2 storeys. Recessed 2-window centre block between slightly set-forward cross- wings, also of 2 windows. Mid C19 sashes with large panes, in original segmental-headed openings of gauged brick. Entrance doorway with mid C20 panelled door and flat canopy cantilevered on curved brackets. Much interior and rear remodelling in C19 and mid C20. Listing NGR: TM0289161986
