Description

RATTLESDEN UPPER STREET TL 95 NE 3/121 Rattlesden Hall - II Former farmhouse and manor house. Probably C17. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Timber-framed and plastered. To left is a parapet-gable, the major part in narrow C17 red bricks, the upper in C19 brickwork with gault and red brick areas combined. The parapets have tumbled-in brickwork and a chimney. Plaintiled roof with an axial chimney of red brick. C19 small-pane casements, some with transomes. Late C18 or early c19 panelled entrance door with architrave and canopy. A rear 2-storey service wing of C17 or earlier. Interior not examined. Listing NGR: TL9772859102
