TL 87 NE EUSTON EUSTON PARK 4/36 Blackbourne (Estate Office) l4.7.55 (Formerly listed as Hall Farmhouse) - II Former farmhouse. C17. 2 storeys and attics. Possible timber- framed core, but largely encased in early C19 flint: mainly kidney flints with an admixture of red brick headers. Red brick string course, rusticated quoins and surrounds to windows. Plaintiles to front slope of roof, black glazed pantiles to rear slope. An internal chimney stack with diagonally set base and 4 shafts with diaper-patterned early C19 bricks: 2 end chimney- stacks: high copings and corbels to the gables. 3-light casement windows, some with square leaded panes and remains of crown glass; those on the ground storey have segmental arched heads to the brick surrounds. 2 flat-headed dormers in the rear slope of the roof. Enclosed, flat-roofed porch: door with 6 flush panels and slightly pointed arch to surround and fanlight. The interior mainly Georgian: some panelling and boxed-in beams: deep inner splays and shutters to windows. A fine original late C17 dog-leg stair, with turned balusters, rises the whole height of the house. Roof with principal rafters, cambered collars and slightly stepped butt purlins. An early C19 2-storey addition to the rear in matching materials, with a shallow-pitched pantiled roof. Listing NGR: TL8967878178
