Listed Building: BARN 60 YARDS NORTH OF LOWER FARMHOUSE (283806)

TL 76 SE GREAT SAXHAM BARROW ROAD 5/99 Barn 60 yards north of - Lower Famhouse - II Barn, late C16, with late C18 alterations. 8 bays, 2 aisles, 2 hipped slated midstreys. Timber framed, weather-boarded with hipped slated roof. Substantial part of C16 frame remains: sections of close-studded aisle walling, arcade posts and aisle tie-beams, both with pronounced jowling, cambered tie-beams, aisle-bracing from post-head to aisle tie-beam. In late C18, the whole frame raised on high brick rubble plinth, extended 1 bay-west and 2 bays east, brick hipped gables, and roof rebuilt. Listing NGR: TL7806963154
