Description

1. WICKHAMBROOK Badmondisfield Hall 2006 TL 75 NW 3/526 19.12.61. II* The Hall was formerly held by the Somerset, North and Warner families. A C15 timber-framed building with exposed timber-framing, partly with plaster infill and partly with brick nogging. Restored in the C20. 2 storeys and attics (in the C18 the top storey was removed). The windows are C20 casements (some restored in period style). Roof tiled, with 2 gabled dormers on the front. The interior has a fine C15 hall with exposed timber-framing and arched braces. It has 2 fine doorways with carved spandrels, one has figures of angels with harps and the other has figures playing drums and tambourines. There is a fine C15 panelled room with a C18 doorway.
