Description

TL 87 SE INGHAM THE STREET (WEST SIDE) 2/27 PLACE FARMHOUSE GV II Farmhouse. Early and mid C19. 2 storeys. Part flint, part yellow brick. The older range, aligned east-west and set sideways-on to the street, has its east gable wall in kidney flint, and the south (garden) front in yellow brick. Hipped, slate roof with wide eaves. 4 small-paned sash windows in deep reveals with flat gauged heads to south front: one small-paned 2-light casement window in a rusticated surround to gable, with a small-paned sash window in a similar surround to upper storey. Entrance door off-centre in the gable wall: 6- panelled, half-glazed, with semi circular fanlight, set within a heavy semi- circular rusticated timber surround. To the north of the original range, a mid C19 brick range aligned north-south with 2 span roof of late C20 composition slates. 5 windows: small-paned sashes, in deep reveals with moulded heads of composition stone.
