Listed Building: BARN TO NORTH OF WORDWELL HALL (284188)

TL 98 SE WORDWELL Barn to north of Wordwell Hall 6/67 (formerly listed with Wordwell Hall as barn) 14.7.55 - II Aisled barn. Circa 1700. Timber-framed and weatherboarded, with half-nipped main span roof covered in corrugated asbestos, and slates to part of aisle roofs. 8 bays: cart entries with full height projecting porches in the 3rd and 6th bays. Framing complete, with very little reused timber. Arcade posts without jowls: long straight braces. Main span roof without principals: clapsed purlins, ridge-piece. A C20 asbestos farm building has been placed in front of the barn. Listing NGR: TL8273472191
