Description
Monitoring was carried out in advance of planning application to renovate the existing building, and to build a new extension. Foundation trenches were 0.8m-1m wide and 2-2.3m deep. In all the trenches, the pale brown chalky boulder clays of the natural geology in the area, made up the majority of the sections, although the upper 0.3-0.4m appeared to be dirty and contained a few beick and tile fragments (S1).
