An archaeological monitoring of footing trenches for two houses on land adjoining The Street, Herringswell exposed two phases of a field ditch which were probably associated with the extant, hedge boundary. A small sherd of handmade pottery from an unstratified context may be prehistoric. A small pit was undated.
