Description
Trenched evaluation failed to identify any significant archaeology. Compacted orange sand subsoil at c.1.5m overlain by thin peat layer and thick deposit of grey silt. The cuting back and revtting of a steep slope on the northern edge of the site was monitored which revealed the slope fomred of late post-medieval debris. The site lies within floodplain of River Dove.
