Description
Monitoring of groundworks for the construction of a new dwelling did not reveal any archaeological features or finds. Footing trenches had been excavated to a depth of 0.5m, showing the composition of the soil in the exposed sections. This comprised between 0.3-0.4m of mid brown sandy topsoil with very occasional flecks of charcoal and brick, sealing a clean, mid orangey brown natural sand subsoil (S1).
