Description
An archaeological evaluation and monitoring was carried out during the conversion of the surviving buildings of Fornham Hall, Fornham St Genevieve into houses. Numerous visits were carried out between December 2005 and August 2006. As ewage channel attached to one of the plots that ran through the churchyard to the south of the development was evaluated by excavating a small trench. An existing iron pipe was re-excavated. The excavations for a new house on the site of the demolished hall were monitored. Further visits were made when garage footings were excavated and to examine various service trenches across the site. (S1)
