Description

Monitoring was undertaken during the construction of a new 4.7km long road around the northern perimeter and associated new drainage. The monitoring revealed an area of dense pits and ditches, dating to the Middle Iron Age, which lies within an extensive multi-period site identified and examined in the 1930s and 40s. The continuation of Wangford Fen under the north taxiway was also identified.
