Description
Alterations to the rear of 23, Westgate Street, Ipswich, required archaeological monitoring where the ground level was reduced prior to piling. No evidence of Medieval or early Post Medieval archaeology was identified at a depth of c.1m below the surrounding ground level. No archaeological deposits were reached nor artefactual evidence recovered (S1).
