Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on footing trenches for an extension at Melford House. A total of three trenches were excavated. The trenches were c.0.6m wide, 9.1m long and 1.4m deep. These were constantly monitored, and the upcast soil was sorted for finds. No features were identified, although a scatter of post medieval finds were identified (S1).
