Description
Archaeological evaluation by trial trenching and palaeoenvironmental survey in advance of the construction of a clubhouse/changing rooms/gymnasium and pavilion at AFC Sudbury. Evaluation trenching revealed no archaeological features or finds. The palaeoenvironmental sampling indicated peat accumulation adjacent to the River Stour between the Iron Age and the Middle Saxon period.
