Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried on the construction of a barn and the excavation of ponds. The barn covered an area 15m by 6m with 0.25m-0.3m of topsoil being removed before revealing the underlying natural drift geology. Foundation trenches were excavated into this to a depth ranging between 0.4m and 0.7m. Both pond sites had topsoil cover that was 0.25m deep over the natural geology. Roman and medieval sherds were identified.
