Description
Monitoring and excavation were carried out at "The Maltings" ahead of the construction of flats along Westgate Street which involved the demolition of an extensive malting complex and led to a small excavation on a small strip of land with a College Street frontage. An area c. 120sqm was cleaned which revealed a range of features and artefactural evidence (S1).
