Description
Archaeological monitoring of groundworks for replacement services to houses on Thunderbird Way and Kennedy Street/Nato Place, RAF Lakenheath was undertaken. The groundworks consisted of a series of 19 rectangualr soakaway pits up to 11m square and 15 stretches of service trench. Due to substantial disturbance to the gorund in front of the existing houses, monitoring was generally limited to trenches in rear gardens.
