Description
Three visits were made during a watching brief on groundworks associated with the construction of a western annex on the existing chapel. Little was seen on the 1st visit, while the second visit noted that the topsoil was 04m deep overlying yellow/orange natural sand. By the time of the 3rd visit the majority of the wall footings were open totaling 70m. However very extensive disturbance had taken place, and a large amount of soil had been imported to the site. No archaeological finds or features were observed during any of the visits.
