Description
Evaluation by trenching located Late medieval or early post-medieval posthole building & medieval buried soil layer, possible medieval trackway running N-S inside line of town wall. Three trenches were excavated ahead of housing development. A general accumulation of soils were seen across the site. At the time of the evaluation, the standing buildings were undergoing demolition therefore the area available for sampling were limited (S1).
