Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out on the construction of a new Temporary Lodging Facility at RAF Mildenhall. A total of three visits were made to observe the building footings, drain trench, stripping of the carpark and stripping of the roadway on the northern side of the development. C.70% of the topsoil was continuously monitored. A series of peat-filled hollows and sand ridges were identified (S1).
