Description
Excavation, following earlier evaluation, was undertaken on the site of a proposed Waste Transfer Facility encompassing an area of approx 10,000sqm, located to the west of Bramford Road. The underlying natural across the site, into which the archaeological features were cut was made up of sand with some clayey sand patches. The clay content increased towards the southern part of the site. Early medieval to 14th century activity was recorded (S1).
