Description
A DBA was undertaken for the proposed route of the Sudbury Western Bypass. Fieldwalking survey in 1990 had located 6 possible sites close to the route, while a couple of possible sites were identified from aerial photographs. The documentary survey showed that the present layout of the field system probably dates from at least the medieval period, and indicated that the original settlement of Brundon could lie between the Hall and the Church, possibly associated with the medieval pottery scatter BCB 004.
