Description

An archaeological monitoring was carried out on land at the rear of 42 Crown Street Bury St Edmunds. The site was visited during the excavation of a raft footing and the lowering of the ground surface in the area of the extension. About one third of the extension was above a coal hole and an old manhole and therefore disturbed (S1).
