Description

Evaluation and monitoring was undertaken during the installation of sewers and manhole shafts. No archaeological remains were encountered, but two detailed geoplogical sections were recorded in the area of the overflow tank and samples were taken for palaeoenvironmental and pollen analysis. The sections did not contain any trace of the Stoke Bone Bed, although clay deposits that were thought to be contempotary were found between 7 and 8m OD.
