Description
Approximately 90 hectares of land was subject to fieldwalking in advance of proposed development. A moderate quantity of prehistoric artfacts were found across the fieldwalked area, and were most dense in the N part. Roman material was observed in a N-S band running through the centre of the fieldwalked area, with one discrete area of occupation identified. A metal detector survey produced two Roman coins, one medieval and metal objects associated with the airfield.
