Archaeological monitoring was carried out in advance of the construction of a new garage and rear extension. The footings were excavated by mechanical excavator. The topsoil was first removed and then the subsoil layer was inspected for archaeological features and finds. The ground was then reduced to c.1.20m into the solid geology. A total of two site visits were made to the site. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified (S1).
