Description
Archaeological monitoring was carried out during the excavation of a new service run connected to the House at St Bartholomew's Priory in Sudbury. No deposits or features of archaeological interest were noted - a number of modern features (mostly filled with brick rubble) were noted which may relate to the burning and subsequent demolition of the barn which used to occupy land immediately east of the service run or may have related to other activities (such as soakaways for rainwater).
