Description

Evaluation trenching for a small residential development on Land To Rear Of The Lion PH, Leiston Road, Theberton of two dwellings within the village and some 40m back from the road frontage did not reveal any archaeological features or any finds of pre 1900 date save one small sherd of medieval pottery. Three trenches 10m wide and totalling 30m in length were excavated to a depth of 0.5-0.7m.
