Description
Monitoring of the groundworks for the drainage bowl revealed a low level of medieval activity. Initially, the pond area was stripped of up to 0.3m then the deeper central part of the pond was then stripped to the depth of archaeology or the natural subsoil. One small archaeological feature was identified, albeit of uncertain function and medieval pottery was present in a subsoil deposit.
