Description
An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was carried out by Suffolk County Council fieldwork team at Chilton Woods to the north of Sudbury in Suffolk. The evaluation at Chilton Woods was a large assessment of the archaeology in the area covering c.121.8 hectares. The works consisted of 356 fifty meter long trenches targeting anomalies detected by the geophysical survey conducted by WYAS as well as sampling apparent blank areas. The works crossed four parish boundaries.
