Description

A magnetometer survey was carried out on 30m grids staked out and triangulated across the site. East/West and West/East grid traverses were chosen on the basis of enabling accurate edgemapping on the western side of the site, where there were a number of irregular shaped banks. Grids were surveyed mainly in zig-zag mode, although for narrow strips and in areas of steep drops into deep water, parallel mode was chosen as either the quickest or safest option.
