Description
College Road - narrow trench c. 300mm wide seen cutting through extensive recent road make-up of tarmac over concrete and rubble onto clay, no finds or features noted (c.15m of trench seen outside the White Horse)
North East of The Elms - trench c.300mm wide and c.650mm deep cutting through a mid brown loam onto clay at base. No features seen but 2 sherds of medieval courseware pottery of 13th/14th century date recovered plus a few small 18/19th century brick and tile fragments.
