Description
Foundations were c1.00-1.20m deep into clean boulder clay (northern foundation trench is along a pre-existing pipe run). The upper 200-300mm of the foundation trenches consisted of play ground surface and make-up material and it appears from the sections that the area was graded down into the underlying clay when the play ground was constructed. No features were seen in the foundation trench sides and examination of the spoil on site did not reveal any finds.
