Description
Archaeological Monitoring was undertaken at Whitehouse Cottage, The Common, Mellis. All trenches were seen while open and measured 0.5m wide and c.1m+ deep. This showed 0.3m of topsoil overlying the natural clay subsoil. No archaeological features or finds were recovered.
