Description
Small, single storey extension to be built on southwest side of house. Area requires lowering/terracing as house immediately adjacent a large earth bank that supports nearby roadway.
Visit 1: 7th March 2001 - area lowered by about 1m to allow for extension, various layers of sand and topsoils present but all made up ground.
Visit 2: 8th March 2001 - Fottings excavated. C0.2m deep of which only bottom 0.15m cuts into the natural orange/yellow sand subsoil. No artefacts recovered and no features seen. No further visits required.
